illustrating my shape on the body and reflecting on textiles in relation to design

we did this by tracing the outline of the shape the paper made when on the body in the photos shown above and then collaging pattern onto it to create a garment. textiles to me is combining art with the body, it enabled me to go in a new direction of clothing or worn material. I see the final product of wearable garments but I never took time to really think about the process. design is not art as design has to function, although the pieces we created are not very functional, they function as a wearable textile. their is a data-driven process to come to the outcome within textiles, fit, colour, pattern. I do enjoy this form of working as I feel as though it allowed me to be more concise over what I am doing. however, I enjoy the spontaneity of Art more.

How can I develop my ideas from here?

I have taken the shape off the body and onto the page, now with the new deign from the collage I would put the shape back onto a figure and create another paper piece with more precision and care inspired by the piece drawn in my book.
